Our high-quality needle felt (self-adhesive) is a real talent when it comes to your camper conversion. The 4-way stretch makes it ideal for the interior paneling in your motorhome, caravan, van and boat.

When producing our self-adhesive automotive felt, we only use recycled PES fibers, which reflects our commitment to innovative and sustainable products. Our in-house development meets the highest quality standards and is designed to meet automotive requirements.

Our self-adhesive carpet felt for campers allows you to effortlessly attach your felt paneling. Even without any prior knowledge, you can easily transform the interior of your motorhome into a naturally beautiful ambience.

Application

Our self-adhesive carpet felt for campers is specially designed for easy installation in vans, motorhomes and caravans, with no spray adhesive needed.

Here's how it works:Make sure the surface is clean, dry and free of grease and dust, peel off the backing film, line up the felt and press it down firmly. The backing film prevents the felt from sticking where you don't want it during installation. That makes the job child's play, even for beginners.

Our automotive adhesive film provides strong, long-lasting adhesion on a wide range of surfaces: metal, wood, glass, insulation (e.g. Armaflex, Kaiflex) and much more.

Can the self-adhesive felt be removed without leaving residue?
No, our automotive adhesive film is designed for a strong, permanent hold and not for residue-free removal. That is intentional: in a camper, the felt lining should hold for the long term and not come loose over time. The adhesive can only be removed again with considerable effort.

Can I also stick the self-adhesive felt to my headliner?
Yes, our self-adhesive carpet felt sticks to almost all smooth surfaces in the camper, including the headliner, side walls, door panels and rear doors. Important: the surface must be clean, dry and free of grease and dust before installation. Here you can find an installation video.

Can I stick the self-adhesive felt directly onto Armaflex or Kaiflex?
Yes, our automotive adhesive film also sticks to common insulation materials such as Armaflex, Kaiflex and Vanue. Just clean the surface lightly beforehand and the felt will hold permanently.


What is the difference between self-adhesive felt and carpet felt with spray adhesive?
Both options deliver the same result. The difference lies in how you get there. Self-adhesive carpet felt is the faster, cleaner and easier method. No spray adhesive, no masking, no smell. However, this only works with a high-quality automotive adhesive film that holds permanently and is highly heat-resistant.

Große glatte Flächen faltenfrei zu bekleben erfordert etwas Übung. Ab dem zweiten Versuch hat es super geklappt. Beim Entfernen der ersten mit Falten verklebten Fläche, könnten wir uns von der Qualität des Klebers überzeugen. Dieser scheint für die Ewigkeit gemacht. Die im Foto gezeigte Fläche, für eine zweite Beklebung wieder glatt und halbwegs sauber zu bekommen hat einen ganzen Tag gedauert. Was aber für die Qualität des Produktes spricht. Der zweite Versuch und die zweite Fläche gingen dann problemlos. Das Ergebnis ist top, die Oberfläche fühlt sich angenehm an. Den Filz von Adventure Truck empfehle ich gerne weiter.

Super schnelle Lieferung, einfach zu verarbeiten. Allerdings "mal eben" mit dem Cuttermesser schneiden, so wie im Video, funktioniert nicht. Mit Schere geht es aber. Feuerzeugbenzin zur Reinigung der Schere zwischendurch sollte man im Haus haben. Zwei Mails mit Fragen gestellt, wurden blitzschnell und hilfreich beantwortet. Bin insgesamt sehr zufrieden.

Qualität überzeugt, lässt sich gut verarbeiten, aber man muss Zeit und Geduld mitbringen (das ist natürlich eine persönliche Sache). Mein persönlicher Tip: Kanten von Aufeinandertreffen den Bahnen lassen sich durch das Aufribbel mit einer scharfen Klinge an beiden Seiten und Ineinanderfilzen miteinander verblenden.

Also es ist wirklich einfach zu verarbeiten. Man kann erst ein Teil der Trägerfolie abziehen damit man das ganze gut Positionieren kann. Es lässt sich gut in alle Ecken ziehen. Dachte erst 4mm ist zu dünn, aber es deckt doch gut ab. Das einzig negative ist das der Klebefilm auf der einen geraden Kante nicht bis zum Rand geht, also ca. 1cm ohne Kleber! Ich hatte zum Glück durchsichtiges doppelseitiges 1cm Klebeband.

Super anzubringen, lässt sich etwas ziehen. gleicht kleine Unebenheiten aus. Unbedingt schneiden, solange die Folie auf der Rückseite ist! Einmal angeklebt geht es kaum wieder ab und die Kleberückstände sind extrem hartnäckig. Würde ich wieder kaufen 👍

Hab das erste mal "gefilzt" und bin denke ich gleich in die Königsklasse eingestiegen. Habe meinen Dachhimmel mit dem selbstklebenden Filz beklebt. Verarbeitung war trotz der Größe der Fläche und den vielen Ecken,Kanten und Rundungen recht einfach. Zwei helfende Hände sind aber durchaus hilfreich.

What's the difference between adhesive felt, needle felt and automotive felt?

None — adhesive felt, self-adhesive felt, needle felt, vehicle felt and automotive felt all describe the same material: a stretchable vehicle felt with a self-adhesive backing. Our self-adhesive carpet felt is exactly this adhesive felt by the metre: 100 cm or 150 cm wide, with a heat-resistant adhesive film to automotive standard, in four colours. Does self-adhesive felt adhere to wood, plywood and multiplex?

Yes, and without any pre-treatment. Our automotive adhesive film adheres reliably to natural wood panels, plywood, multiplex and coated panels. A glaze, primer or special coating isn't necessary. This applies to both our self-adhesive carpet felt and our self-adhesive wool felt. All that matters is that the surface is clean, dry and free of grease and dust before installation. That way the felt lining in your camper adheres permanently and without any extra effort.

How thick is the felt and does it cover well enough?

Yes, no problem. With a material thickness of 2 mm, our self-adhesive carpet felt is completely opaque and reliably covers the substrate, no matter what colour your vehicle is. The 2 mm are absolutely sufficient and proven for interior lining in campers, vans and motorhomes. Once applied, your felt lining looks clean, uniform and high-quality.

Can I apply self-adhesive felt on my own?

Yes, thanks to the backing film our self-adhesive carpet felt for campers only sticks where you want it to. The film can be peeled off step by step, so you work section by section and line cleanly and precisely even on your own. That way the felt lining in your van or motorhome succeeds on the first attempt, even without a second person.

What's the most common mistake with self-adhesive felt in camper conversions?

The most common mistake is inadequate substrate preparation. The surface must be clean, dry and free of grease and dust, otherwise edges will come loose over time. Second classic mistake: peeling off the backing film all at once. It's better to proceed step by step and press the self-adhesive camper felt on piece by piece.

Does self-adhesive carpet felt in the camper shed fluff over time?

Our self-adhesive carpet felt for camper conversions was specially developed for abrasion resistance. Thanks to the special needling, it sheds significantly less fluff than conventional felt and permanently keeps its clean, high-quality appearance. Not sure? Can self-adhesive felt in the camper promote mould?

No, not with proper use. As with all materials in a camper conversion: no material should be permanently exposed to moisture. Anyone who airs out their van or motorhome regularly and maintains a healthy indoor climate will have no problems at all with the felt lining.

At what temperature should self-adhesive felt be applied in the camper?

For optimal adhesion, we recommend application at temperatures between +15°C and +30°C.

What do I need to keep in mind when bonding self-adhesive felt?

The surface should be clean, grease-free and dry, ideally pre-treated with a cleaner. The optimal working temperature is between 15 and 30 degrees. Press the felt from the centre outwards so no air pockets form. For corrections we also recommend our TEMP 110 spray adhesive. You'll find a step-by-step guide in our YouTube video.

What happens if I've ordered too little?

You can reorder at any time, but slight colour variations can occur between batches. Shipping costs also apply again, since felt rolls are shipped as bulky goods. That's why it's better to plan for a little more offcut allowance from the start and order the full amount in one order.

How much does shipping cost and how long does delivery take?

Shipping is from our warehouse in Germany. We deliver to Germany, Austria and the Netherlands. Within Germany your order usually reaches you in 1 to 3 working days; delivery to Austria and the Netherlands takes a little longer. You can see the exact shipping costs in the cart.

Can I return the camper felt if it doesn't suit me?

Since we cut the felt to size individually for you straight from the roll, returns aren't possible. That's why we recommend ordering our sample pack beforehand, so you can check colour and feel in peace at home before ordering cut goods.

How much felt do I need for my camper conversion?

The amount of felt you need depends on the vehicle, wheelbase, roof shape and the areas you want to line. Whether self-adhesive carpet felt or self-adhesive wool felt, there's no one-size-fits-all answer. With our felt quantity calculator you can work out the exact amount for your van, motorhome or caravan in just a few seconds, based on your actual measurements plus your desired offcut allowance.

Does felt insulate against cold and noise?

Yes, felt has sound-absorbing properties and noticeably dampens driving noise and echo in the camper. The interior becomes quieter, cosier and more pleasant, a difference you hear and feel immediately. Felt also has insulating properties against cold, but doesn't replace full insulation such as Armaflex or Kaiflex. Our self-adhesive carpet felt and wool felt can be applied directly onto existing insulation materials and additionally enhance their effect.

Which felt is suitable for my camper conversion?

That depends on your requirements. Our self-adhesive carpet felt made from recycled PES fibres is robust, abrasion-resistant and ideal for heavily used areas such as wheel arches, side walls and rear doors in your van or motorhome. Our self-adhesive wool felt made from 100% mulesing-free virgin wool is the natural alternative for a particularly cosy indoor climate. Virgin wool actively regulates humidity, binds pollutants and ensures a healthy, pleasant ambience in the camper.
