First, you should determine the position of your shower cubicle in the vehicle, as this will determine all the other measurements for further planning and material procurement. Every camper conversion is unique!
You also need to determine the wastewater routing of your camper shower, which will determine the drain position of the shower tray.
Order materials
To do this, you should configure your custom-made shower tray, including the drain position, in advance. Custom-made shower trays are available in aluminum or stainless steel, making them robust and durable.
In the meantime, you can order the remaining materials.
Tip:
- You can have the wood cuts cut to size at your local hardware store

THE IMPLEMENTATION
Building the shower enclosure is quick and easy, with just a few simple steps. Please note that every floor plan and design is specific and must be adapted accordingly. a Procedure for stimulation.
Screwing together wooden cuts
The first step is to simply screw the individual wooden sections together to create the desired custom shower enclosure. Remove the shower tray before drilling, of course.
Tip:
- We have drilled some holes in the bottom of the shower box to make it easier to remove the shower tray during the adjustment phase
Drill drainage holes
The shower tray serves as a template for the drilling. The drain hole is marked once on the floor of the shower cubicle and finally on the vehicle floor. This ensures a precise fit for the drain siphon and the wastewater system. Here, too, remove the camper shower tray and set it aside before drilling.
Assembly
After drilling, the shower box is mounted on the vehicle floor.
The drain siphon is also attached to the shower tray.
Recommendation:
- After installing the siphon, we recommend checking it for leaks
Glue shower tray
The custom-made shower tray is thoroughly degreased.
Then apply sufficient and even construction adhesive to the floor of the shower box using a cartridge press and glue the shower tray to the shower box floor.
In the final step, the siphon under the vehicle is also sealed.

THE FOLLOW-UP
Air circulation
We recommend placing air ducts in the cover of the shower box for ventilation to prevent moisture.
Silicone coating
All corners, joints, and slots in the box must be properly sealed with silicone to ensure complete watertightness.
Attach shower curtain
The final step is to install a shower curtain. This ensures that the water flows directly into the shower cubicle and prevents water from leaking into the camper's interior.
Felt cover
Optionally, the shower enclosure cover can be felted. This allows the shower enclosure to be converted into an additional seating area after use.

THE CONCLUSION
A shower box is not only unique, but also quick and easy to install in a campervan. It also offers many additional functions. The shower box acts as a multifunctional box. In addition to providing comfortable showering, it can be used for laundry, storage, additional seating, a bed extension, or even for washing up. The shower box is also ideal as a basin for wet clothes. The shower box, with all its valuable multifunctional features, can be built for an unbeatable price of less than €500. It's an incredibly good alternative to a wet room or shower cubicle in a motorhome.
