Carpet felt improves the acoustics in your camper through effective soundproofing and additional insulation properties. It's durable, hard-wearing, and environmentally friendly, as our carpet felt is made exclusively from recycled PES fibers.
Which felt is best for use in a camper?
Elastic 4-way felt is best suited for this purpose, as it allows for quick and easy installation. Stretch felt, in particular, adapts perfectly to all campervan body shapes and can be installed without creases or wrinkles. Thanks to its ultra-elastic properties, Carpet Felt can even be deep-drawn into corners and joints without tearing.
How many meters of carpet felt do I need for my vehicle?
The amount of material required depends on which areas of your camper need to be felted—entire interiors, the headliner, plastic parts, or the driver's cab. Windows and roof hatches also play a role.
Generally, you determine the required amount based on the length x width of the vehicle. Measure the trim surface and factor in additional material for deep-drawing the corners, edges, and curves.
Also take into account additional material requirements for folding over the felt covering for small or plastic elements, as well as for waste and overhang.

How well does carpet felt insulate?

Of course, felt lining in a campervan is no substitute for conventional insulation. We therefore strongly recommend installing full-fledged insulation underneath the felt lining.
Can you glue carpet felt directly onto insulation?
Carpet felt can be easily applied to insulation such as Armaflex or Kaiflex.
When applying, both the carpet felt and the insulation should be sprayed with our spray adhesive on both sides. After the two-sided application, the spray adhesive is activated and ensures a particularly strong and permanent bond.
Do I need a special adhesive?
A special spray adhesive is required for the Carpet Felt, as it is not a self-adhesive felt We recommend the Special spray adhesive TEMP 110 due to its high heat resistance (up to 110 degrees Celsius).
How much spray adhesive do I need for my felt covering?
For optimal adhesion, both the felt and the surface are sprayed (double-sided adhesive method). Experience shows that one can of spray adhesive is sufficient for about 1.5 m², depending on the spraying behavior.
Can I return Carpet Felt?
